What you need to find:
- Biographical information - year your author was born, birthplace, etc.
- Why they became a writer - what experiences in their life led them to writing

Click the image below to access the Gale Virtual Reference Library. This eBook collection counts as a book source! Search for your author and use the menu on the right to narrow down the results. Searching for biographies would be helpful.

Another option is to look at FactCite. This database contains entries on a variety of authors, however not all of the authors will be listed.
