Step 1: Locating print resources
Our library has a ton of books available for research. By completing a simple search for your topic in Alexandria, the online card catalog, you can locate a variety of resources.
These resources are organized by their Call Number. If you need help finding a book just ask Ms. Gilroy or Mrs. Fecher!

Similar to a search engine like Google, our card catalog Alexandria allows you to type in what you're looking for - in this case your topic - and click "subject" or "all words" underneath the search box.

Helpful tips:
- Search by the big key words related to your topic. Don't write full sentences or questions.
- If your specific topic doesn't come up, search for a broader subject (like Greek theater or Ancient Greece.) Then use the index in the back of those books to look for your specific topics.
- If you type in your topic and hit enter, the catalog will do a keyword search. This can sometimes be helpful, but you will have more results to look through that might be unrelated to your search.

Step 2: locating database resources
The library's databases provide all of the information you need for a variety of research projects. A database is a reliable resource because the information has been deemed credible and factual. In many ways, this is a much better alternative than a website.
The databases that will be most helpful for this project are:
- Bloom's Literature Database
- Gale Virtual Reference Library
- FactCite
- Power Library
Step 3: Locating internet resources
